2022: The "Young Professional" Award is back again!

Security is a fascinating industry – and it’s a great time to work in!

The convergence of various importance aspects of our professions such as human, physical, and technology, offers new opportunities and jobs, but also comes with challenges, catalysed by overarching factors such as climate change, an increasingly tensioned economic environment, demographic shifts, and many more. The last 2.5 years, with the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, ruthlessly shed light to the strengths and limits of current security setups, and one wonders what’s next?

While the main interests of societies and companies did not necessarily change, Young Professionals come up with a different view, fresh ideas, or new approaches, and with this are essential to the industry to remain a key stakeholder.

This is why our Chapter has committed to promote the security profession amongst younger generations.

The ASIS Swiss Chapter Young Professional Award

Our Chapter's commitment to promoting the security profession amongst younger generations is represented by our annual young professional competition. It rewards a personal research work (be it self-developed or within an academic programme) presented by a young professional.

The recompense is a cheque of CHF 2000.00, 1 year free membership to ASIS International and to its Swiss Chapter (value around CHF 275 non cash payable). In addition, the winner will be the subject of a publication recognizing its contribution to the security sector.

Now in its 4th year, we invite any interested parties to submit their projects for evaluation according to the following simple rules.

  • As a suitable candidate, you are under 35 years old, work in Switzerland and are employed in the security field for less than 5 year.
  • The work you will present will consist of a 3 to 5 pages project that is helping the security field and professionals. While there is no limit about the topic, you should propose a work that is innovative and useful. It is necessary to use references to support your idea.
  • The language of your work can be English, French or German.
Should you wish to be a candidate, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please join a curriculum vitae and a short description of your project.
