ASIS International – Switzerland Chapter Event at the World Economic Forum in Geneva
On Thursday June 13th, members of the Swiss Chapter of ASIS International had the opportunity to attend a presentation on crisis communication in the beautiful setting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva.
Our two next events will take place in Geneva (13 June at WEF) and Zürich (25 June at Hochschule für Wirtschaft). Our speakers will be Toomas Kull and David Horobin (only in Zürich) (more by clicking on "Read more" below).
Is classic Crisis Communication in today’s media landscape still as impactful as it should be?
Reputation management challenges today
Does the classic crisis playbook still stand?
It is widely accepted that organisations now operate in a volatile and fast-evolving world. The possibility of remaining unknown, secretive and untouched by demands of ultra-transparency are a luxury afforded to the very few.
As we approach the end of the decade... To what extent has the field of reputation management evolved? Do the classic best-practice principles of crisis communications still apply? How is the organisational crisis communication response in an incident today, different from before?
Toomas Kull will consider the evolving challenges leaders face in managing reputation (their organisation’s as well as their own), and provide recommendations on how to survive reputation-threatening scenarios.
“How well you managed a crisis does not matter as only your communication will make it successful
For the third year, ASIS Switzerland Chapter has presented its Young Professional Award. This year's winner is Salomé Chatagny. The award was presented during the event about Artificial Intelligence organised by the Chapter on 15 November.
